As we step into a new year, we’re grateful for the steady, faithful work happening through our disciple-making work across India. These stories remind us that Gospel fruit often grows quietly through consistency, trust, and obedience long before it’s visible to the outside world.
A First Encounter With Jesus
One of our disciple maker missionaries has been walking intentionally with a couple for the past nine weeks, investing time, presence, and prayer into their relationship. Through this journey, an opportunity opened to share the Gospel clearly and personally.
He was recently able to share the Good News with Babuli and Bandita for the first time. This moment marks the beginning of their encounter with Jesus. We know that first Gospel conversations carry weight, and we trust the Holy Spirit to continue His work beyond what was spoken.
A New Life, A New Community
We also got to celebrate a special moment in Banu’s life. After hearing the Gospel from one of our disciple makers, she responded in faith and was led to the Lord. In the days that have followed, she is seeking Jesus constantly and consistently, and it has become evident that the Holy Spirit is at work within her.
Because of this, Banu has been invited to join the disciple maker’s fellowship group. This is her very first time gathering with other believers. What began as a single conversation has now grown into belonging, discipleship, and shared life with other followers of Christ.
Why This Matters
These stories reflect the heart of disciple-making. There aren’t quick results, but patient faithfulness. Relationships built over weeks, months, years. The Gospel is shared when the time is right. New believers are welcomed into a community where faith can be nurtured and multiplied.
This is how churches are planted, and this is how the Gospel takes root.
